What We're Looking For
✅ Required Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in education, child development, or related field
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct
- Minimum 3 years teaching or coaching experience
- Based in Nairobi or Kiambu County
- Excitable personality with strong rapport with children
- Understanding of child psychology (ages 6-17)
- Genuine passion for youth development

- Toastmasters or public speaking club membership

The Role: What You'll Do
- Lead live interactive public speaking sessions for children aged 6-17
- Teach both online (via our LMS platform) and in-person at our Kilimani center
- Conduct sessions at partner schools across Nairobi (transport covered)
- Facilitate discussion-based learning (not lectures!)
- Provide constructive feedback and progress reports to parents
- Adapt teaching style to different age groups and learning styles
- Collaborate with fellow coaches to continuously improve curriculum
- Maintain high standards of child safety and professional conduct
Time Commitment: This is a full-time position. You'll be exclusive to Sprout and must be available for minimum 15 sessions per month during probation, scaling up to full-time after successful probation.

When will I hear back after applying?

Do you hire part-time coaches?
▼This is a full-time position. During probation, you'll work a minimum of 15 sessions per month. After successful probation, you'll transition to full-time permanent employment.
Can I teach elsewhere while working at Sprout?
▼No. This is an exclusive full-time position. We invest heavily in training and development, and we need coaches who are fully committed to Sprout's mission and students.
What's the time commitment during probation?
▼Minimum 15 coaching sessions per month, plus preparation time, team meetings, and training. Most probationary coaches work 25-35 hours per week.
Do I need to provide my own transport for school sessions?
▼No. Transport to partner schools is covered by Sprout. You'll be reimbursed or provided with transport arrangements.
What happens if I don't pass probation?
▼We provide monthly feedback during probation. If you're not meeting expectations, we'll work with you to improve. If it's not a fit, we part ways professionally after the 3-month period.
