The Speech Confidence Assessment is a free 10-question quiz for parents of children aged 6 to 17. It evaluates your child's comfort with speaking across different situations and gives you a personalised profile with practical recommendations. It takes about 2 minutes to complete.

Q: What are the three speaking profiles?

Children are profiled as one of three types: The Observer (a deep thinker who needs safe, gradual opportunities to speak), The Emerging Speaker (confident in comfortable settings but still building confidence in new situations), or The Ready Performer (naturally expressive and ready to develop advanced speaking technique and craft).

Q: Is the assessment free?

Yes, the Speech Confidence Assessment is completely free. After completing the 10 questions, you receive a personalised speaking profile by email with specific recommendations and a matched speech prompt to try with your child.

Q: Who created this assessment?

The assessment was developed by Sprout Life Skills, a Kenyan public speaking coaching company co-founded by Gikuyu Muchai and Milcah Wairimu that has trained over 500 children since 2025. It is based on their proprietary Sprout Model methodology which focuses on Naturalness, Voice, and Words.
